This verse takes centre stage as we celebrate a fresh batch of high school graduates this year. The good news is that our proud graduates are now stepping into a new phase of their lives- defined by faith, guided by truth, and ready to explore, invent, create, and bring change.

The word "graduate" comes from the Latin graduari — meaning to take a step. How fitting, then, that every graduate today is taking a step not just into a new chapter, but into a calling.
As these students walked down the aisle in their graduation gowns, the moment was filled with excitement and pride. They step beyond the fear of the unknown and into the wonder of what lies ahead, carrying wisdom and knowledge with them. Their journey is a celebration of faith and achievement, nurtured by teachers, parents, the parish, and the religious community.
The road ahead may feel uncertain. Choices multiply. Paths diverge. But for our graduates, one constant remains: we walk by faith, not by sight. It may take another graduation, perhaps from college, perhaps from life itself, to fully appreciate the weight of this day. When they look back, they will find pearls of wisdom waiting to help them transform challenges into opportunities.
As our schools come together to celebrate these amazing students, let us be generous in expressing our hope and love for these young voices who will write beautiful stories on the fabric of time, each with their own personal signature. As St. Peter reminds us in 1 Peter 4:10:
"As good stewards of the manifold grace of God, each of you should use whatever gift he has received to serve one another."
